OBJECTIVES
1. This Fico Friendlies aims to attract football enthusiasts of both gender to participate in friendly matches.
2. These friendly matches seek to promote bonding, racial integration and healthy lifestyle through a competitive setting.
COMPOSITION OF TEAMS
3. The team shall comprise of a minimum of five players to a maximum of twelve players. One of which would be the Team Captain.
4. Players are allowed to play for more than one team.
ELIGIBILITY
5. Anyone can play in the Fico Friendlies. There are no restrictions.
FICO FRIENDLIES INFORMATION
6. Friendly matches can scheduled from 8am to 10pm daily at your preferred time slot.
7. The three time slots that are available for selection are: - 8am to 12noon - 12noon to 6pm - 6pm to 10pm
8. The Organising Committee reserves the right to change the date, time and court of the match at its discretion.
9. All matches will be played at Fico Sports Hub.
10. Experienced referees will be provided by Fico Sports Hub.
GAMEPLAY INFORMATION
11. Only five players per team are allowed on the playing court at any one time; one of whom will play as goalkeeper.
12. The minimum number of players before the commencement of the game is four. Any team that fails to field four players at the scheduled time will be considered walkover.
13. Period of play: Four intervals of 10 minutes, with 5 minutes break between quarters.
GENERAL RULES
14. Team Captain must report to booking office at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time of play.
15. All teams are encouraged to play in the spirit of fair play and good sportsmanship.
16. Substitution: -Number of substitutions is unlimited. -Players may be substituted at any time during play after obtaining permission from the referee, but the substituted player must leave the playing court before the substitute enters. -Play must be stopped during substitution.
17. Safety: -No jewelleries should be worn. -Use of footwear is compulsory. -Shirts must have sleeves. -Strictly no sliding tackles.
18. Scoring: -Can be scored from kick-off
19. Fouls: -If awarded red card, player must leave the court immediately and not be allowed to play the remaining time.
20. Zones: -Players can play/score within opponents’ “D” box. -Keeper cannot handle ball outside “D” box. -Ball continues to be in play after hitting ceiling. -Corner kick is a method of restarting play. -No goal kick.
21. While all reasonable precaution will be taken, Fico Sports Hub will not be responsible or in any way liable for any death, disability, personal injury, loss of property or any other loss howsoever arising from any cause whatsoever at any time during the course of the friendly match.
22. In the event of a need for disciplinary action to be taken against any player or team, Fico Sports Hub shall make a decision and impose punishment, as it deems fit.
23. In the event of any dispute, the decision of Fico Sports Hub shall be final.
24. Fico Sports Hub reserves the right to add, delete and/or vary the said general rules at any time it deems fit.
AWARDS/PRIZES
25. Points are awarded for every game. (Win – 3pts, Draw – 2pts, Lose – 1pt)
26. Top three teams with the most points would win some prizes, provided the team achieved a minimum of 30pts over three months. (Champion - $500 worth of prizes, 1st Runner-up - $300 worth of prizes, 2nd Runner-up - $200 worth of prizes.)
27. The three months period will begin on every 1st December, 1st March, 1st June, 1st September.
28. 20% of points awarded over the last period will rollover to current period except for the top three teams.
REGISTRATION GUIDELINES
29. No registration or registration fees required.
30. Team captains may request for friendly matches by walk-in/or call/or email Fico Sports Hub and provide the following information:
i) Name of Team
ii) Team Captain name & contact number
iii) Asst Team Captain name & contact number
iv) Available day/date
v) Preferred time slot
vi) Number of matches preferred
vii) Team age group and preferred opponents’ age group
viii) Gender
31. The day/date selected must be at least 5 working days from the date of request of friendly match.
32. If your team is scheduled for a match, Team Captain will be notified 3 days in advance. Upon notification, Team Captain will have to pay the match fees at least 24hours prior to the scheduled match. Failure to do so may cause the team to be barred from Fico Friendlies.
33. For higher chance of being scheduled a game, Team Captain may request for a game two weeks in advance.
34. Match Fees: $60 (subjected to GST) + $30 (deposit) *Deposit will be refunded after the match. Deposit will be forfeited in the event of no-show. *Complimentary membership for all twelve players.
35. Cash/Cheque/Credit payment to be made at Fico Sports Hub. Only cash is allowed for deposit.
36. Once payment is made, no cancellation is allowed.
