A Step Up by The Media for the Lions
Recently, on the build up to the Singapore-Thailand match, there is a noticeable increase in the media coverage for the National Team prior to any other "BIG MATCHES" in the past...
The New Paper is especially commendable, given their reputation to be "Lions-Slammers" and "Controversy-minded", giving a pretty good introduction of the Lions to their readers (I didnt read the much, just based on hear say).
After the 3-1 defeat, the "noise" is even more evident, as readers bombarded the different media and papers, speaking out their mind; local media giving their take and continue to generate content to keep Singaporeans in view of the coming match (tonight, the return leg against Thailand).
Ever since i start to follow the Lions closely (2-3 years ago), I had never seen more coverage on the Lions than now.
Lets appreciate while it last, and hopefully the result will go our way, keep the Asian Cup dream alive, and keeping the faith the local media is giving our National Team.

stop all the reporting. everytime with this kind of hype, the lions disappoint.
the higher the expectation, the bigger the disappointment.

You think the Lions will know you are watching?
I don't think they know. And I don't really think they care.
They have proven that they play best when no one watches. Next time just let their qualifying games be a closed-door training session for the really important stuff, like SOS Cup or a friendly with Indonesia. This is an electronically generated document. No signature is necessary.

Maybe because the opponent is Thailand? Which one will most fans (and media) interested in: Singapore VS Thailand, Singapore VS Jordan and Singapore VS Iran?

谁怕谁!

The schedule favours the Thais ... If Iran beat us, most likely they will field weak team against Thais
