The Lions return home after failing to end their losing away record against PKNS. Now they prepare to try to end another unwelcome record against Terengganu. Twice the Lions faced the Turtles at Jalan Besar and both times they failed to score against them losing 1-0 and 0-0.
With games coming thick and fast, NS issues, injuries and suspension are starting to hit the Lions. This weekend, Fazrul will be suspended after getting a straight red against PKNS. Hopefully Sundram will have worked with the boys on their attacking moves. After 3 games, the Lions have yet to score from open play. With the backing of the home crowd as well as the artificial turf, the Lions will hope to open their accounts from open play against a team who are also struggling near the foot of the table. After just losing against PKNS which was at the bottom of the table, the Lions will definately not want to lose this match.
Can the Lions return to winning ways against the Turtles??
Sundram should not be too conservative each time he plays the teams. When Gabriel and Syafiq came in to push up in the second half after falling to a goal behind before half time, he should play more attacking as part of the development process for the team.
There is a lot of potential in the team but by playing conservative does not serve well for the boys future. I notice many times the players want to push forward and didnt want to pass to Isa as we all know he is a go stern player. Good for the boys.
Push forward and not backward.
How else are the boys going to learn when the Sea games in Myanmar comes along if no striker can score. Part of the reason this team is playing for this purpose is to expose the team especially the scoring ability will be integral to the team's performance for the Sea games.

The second half performance is a turn around from the 1st. Hopefully the comeback win will give the younger players the confidence to play better in the coming games.
agreed my friend. There is a lot of potential in the team but by playing conservative does not serve well for the boys future
Caleb Folan will prove to be handy for the LionsXII in the next match against T-team as Baihakki (suspension) and Safuwan (NS) will be out of the match.
Shakir Hamzah, Madhu Mohana and Shafiq Ghani will all miss the match due to NS together with Fazrul Nawaz (suspension)..
look at the positive side is all the players get the chance to play and if they perform, will give Sundram a happy problem...
I just hope that Gabriel get more playing time, and the team can attack more. Stop being so defensive...
I don't want any title from them this year, just want them to build on their development and attacking.
Titles are just bonus,
