    2 new clubs
seems Gold Coast United will be champions, but North Queensland Fury will be the last ranked

Shane Smeltz will be the top scorer for sure

Watched NQF take on the Wolves the previous time...

NQF is crap without Fowler! The scorelines are currently very loop-sided against NQF... So imagine if Fowler is not playing... =x

And since we are at it... Check out the above video... Scroll to about 6 or 7 minute... And watch the blunder by Perth goalkeeper Tando Velaphi...

"It reminds me of stale bean soup, of college yells, of dogs barking idiotically through endless nights. It is so bad that a sort of grandeur creeps into it. It drags itself out of the dark abysm of pish, and crawls insanely up the topmost pinnacle of posh. It is rumble and bumble. It is flap and doodle. It is balder and dash." H L Mencken

Pick this up while looking at the A-League website

    News Display Elrich red overturned

In sharp contrast vs the S-League earlier this season, which quoted a rule saying that everything decides by the ref on the field is final and there is no way a red card can be overturn.

Maybe as a way of moving forward, we can have a similar independent Match Review Panel to handle all this, as well as possible diving allegation (or simulation, which is another issue mentioned in the article).

p.s wondering whether the Alan Davidson mentioned in the article is THAT Alan Davidson that we know who used to play for Pahang...

Not sure if it is him in that article but the Alan Davidson that played in Malaysia has a son who is heading overseas to play in Portugal I think.

One of the bidders for a new A league team
A-League bidder urges open mind | The Australian

WSFG's franchise's model, which Pinto says has won high praise from the wider football community, also includes:

    * Signing at least three repatriated Socceroos in the first three seasons.

    * Operating academies within the district associations of Macarthur, Nepean, Blacktown, Southern Districts, Granville, Bankstown, Canterbury, Sutherland, and Illawarra as well as links with state league clubs in those areas.

    * A women's football program.

    * Provide players to the clubs by a draft system from GWSFG's national youth league team. The club will pay the wages, taking pressure off budgets of NSW premier and state league teams.

    * Money will be channelled into district associations as grants, helping foster the game at the grassroots level.

    * A feeder team in Singapore's S-League is on the drawing board as well, allowing more players access to full-time football.

    * A network of high schools throughout the catchment area, where a football component will be added to the curriculum.

know all about this bid, the team i belive would be a youth team similar to the young lions, as far as i am aware, may have a few mature players for direction, also not a done deal as they are also looking at,a few other leagues to have satelite teams
