Default Re: Singapore Football : Last Decade 2000-2009 In Perspective

I think our greatest achievement over the last ten decade is the ability to challenge for honours at ASEAN level.

Also, we are able to compete and attain decent results at ASIAN level competition.

Certainly, it would be great to cap it off with a win at AFC Cup level for clubs, which we have come so close over many seasons.

I have a great admiration Zolt Bucs, Sutee, Peres, Edmar, Duric, Mirko, Indra. These established long term players have performed incredibly well over the last decade winning many honours with their respective clubs.

But instead of choosing a striker that have delivered. I am choosing a player that is loyal, hardworking and devoted.

My vote goes to S. Subramani. He is a perfect role model who has excelled both with Tanjong Pagar and Home United. His trophies collection are not few either. Winning ASEAN Championships, FA Cups, and S-leagues. On top of that, he has also played at the highest level at Asian level at the AFC Cup and also under many great coaches like
Robert Albert, Steve Darby, Vincent Subramaniam.

At the National level, he has also tasted success with Whitbread, Poulsen and ofcourse Raddy.

If there is such an award. I think most deservingly, the player of the decade for my choice will be S. Subramani.
